VISCED literature search
The first results of a short literature search are now available on the wiki. Check these out at http://www.virtualcampuses.eu/index.php/Bibliography_of_Virtual_Schools
The bibliography contains just 38 items so far, but it is a start. We have aimed to classify them by the various countries and levels of education. This generates a nice tag cloud which you can see at http://www.mendeley.com/groups/1075201/virtual-schools-and-colleges/papers/
Already this shows that there is relevant activity in quite a wide range of countries, not just US and Canada as commonly thought. In fact in many countries the drive to improve the quality of rural schools is a key factor in fostering various kinds of virtual schooling even if not fully-fledged virtual schools.
VISCED team members are welcome to join in this process and contribute papers.
We have also put on the wiki a couple of other relevant bibliographies from our sister project LUOERL. All the bibliographies are linked from the page http://www.virtualcampuses.eu/index.php/Bibliographies
